About Us: Wachtel, Biehn & Malm

In 1968 approximately 3,500 people called Lake Havasu City home. Wing Wachtel opened a law office to service the legal needs of the community. Subsequently, he was joined by Don Biehn in 1970, Denis Malm in 1972, J.B. Wyss in 1976 and Steve Biehn in 1980. The law offices of Wachtel Biehn & Malm have changed dramatically throughout the past three decades, but the firm still handles client's cases the same way: with respect and dignity.

Fast forward to 2017, Wachtel Biehn & Malm has two attorneys: Jay Bidwell (managing partner) and Steve Biehn (partner). The Firm handles a variety of legal problems ranging from: Personal Injury; Administrative (Register of Contractor hearings, Department of Motor Vehicle hearings, etc.); Wills, Trusts, Estates, and Probate; DUI and Criminal Offenses; Landlord/Tenant Law, and multi-million dollar commercial transactions. Wachtel, Biehn & Malm handles almost all types of legal issues except: family law and bankruptcy. The Firm has dealt with city, county, state and federal government offices in litigation and finance matters. Members of the Firm have handled in excess of 1,000 cases involving insurance disputes and matters involving injury and wrongful death. Millions of dollars have been collected for clients with personal injury claims.

Jay Bidwell is licensed in Arizona, California and Nevada.
